Biography
David Burns, MD is an Adjunct Clinical Professor Emeritus at the Stanford University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Although he is best known for his pioneering work in the development of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), he has recently developed a more powerful approach called TEAM-CBT. His best-selling book, Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy, has sold more than five million copies worldwide and is the book most frequently recommended for depressed individuals by American and Canadian health professionals. His website, www.feelinggood.com, contains free resources for therapists and patients alike, including his popular weekly Feeling Good Podcasts, with more than 50,000 downloads monthly.
